Here a snake hisses…
There a deadly dune collapses
And by and by you come across a skeleton
lying upon the mysterious, ancient, ever moving sand…
Stretched before the eyes the sand sea
spans miles and miles…on and on
spans miles and miles…on and on
Not a single living thing one comes across
And the wilderness playing flute with the howling wind
Changing patterns in the slick sand…
You come with the love for wilderness
Tucked in your chest-deep down
Swaying upon a camel
Looking towards the horizon
Where I dance-swaying my limbs
Hurling the blue attire in wind
My whole being ecstatic…
My eyes-sharp as knives with anxiousness-alert now
Waiting for ages-thirsty, dry and deep
Meet with your gaze
As you come near
And staggers...
As your eyes are piercing-sword like
A picture so old
A map –once known and now forgotten-comes alive
And my heart beat fuses into yours…
Everything stops for a moment
Then beats again fiercely…
Someone in the soul’s yard
Touches the drums and fingers them
-dham dham dhim dhim
Celebrating the merger, the fusion
Of you of me
Of us…
