A Fallen Cap

It’s raining continuously…
It’s wet and damp everywhere…
Tuk tak raindrops falling incessantly
Life upon earth is used to it
The drenched, sodden soil sighs hard
yes, it's a familiar feeling.

No wonder the frog celebrates
and peeps from it’s green palace
Now that it has become a king…
Age-old Crows sitting upon the electric wire
had already started telling old folk-tales;
they want to forget the dripping sky.
Water birds pretend playing in the water
As if they don’t care the soggy feeling upon land
Baby Molu had gone sheltering
Under Mom’s grand huge figure…
The mother is facing the rain…
Mollu need not know any thing about it.

Whose cap is this, fallen in the poodle
A different story it speaks
Of someone who does not how to handle self
Someone who is careless about the rain…
Or may be had taken a rain bath
or a rain dance -and hence the fallen cap.

The dragonfly, the lonely bird and cheetahs
knows what to do when it rains
It’s a clammy jungle…and it sings the saddest songs…
But they will listen somehow…
And the lotus knew the time has come…
Now all have to shut down
No Sun, no colour…no blooming…
A l silent preparation for a long hibernation
starts in the lotus pond…

The white mouse is gifted with a white umbrella
Upon his b’day and he enjoys the beating of rain
upon it’s roof more and more…
What about Bolku, the puppy, homeless,
Lying down upon the cold wet floor
It does not know what to think
mother has left, gone somewhere without training it
how to cope with the rain…
where to find one umbrella
how to find a shade till the soaked furs get dry...

it's raining still...
people are sleeping, their doors closed-shut
and the umbrella shop is flashing
a 'we-are-closed' sign.

The Link

The same stream of life that runs through Your veins night and day
runs through Me and dances in rhythmic measures.

It is the same life that shoots in joy through the dust of the earth
in numberless blades of grass
and breaks into tumultuous waves of leaves and flowers.

It is the same life that is rocked in the ocean-cradle of birth
and of death, in ebb and in flow.

I feel my limbs are made glorious by the touch of the glorious soul and of the streaming life, coming out of You!
And my pride is from the life-throb of ages dancing in my entity, speaking of you all this moment.

Nili Chhatri ka Cover

Wo nili chhatri kahan hai,
Kise pata,
Jise tune kabhi apne bayen hath ki
mutthi me kaske pakad rakha tha...
Bas uski cover hath lagi mera...
Wo bund bund barsha
Jo tumhare hath ko chhute
Is nile cover pe lage the,
Jane kahan sukh gae hein,
Yehi kah kar
nili chhatri ki cover ro padi ...
Mujhse bhi raha na gaya-
Jab ankh uthaya aur daudaya
Aur baju me adha bhige hue tujhe na paya...
Jab us pal ko sar sar sarakte
Din mahine salon ke pichhe chhupta hua dekha,
Mujhse v raha na gaya...
Na jane kiski ashuon se
Nili chhatri ki cover fir se gila ho gaya,
Us raat ki barish me bhige hue
Tumhare hath me jeise ....

Bhaari

Tumhare pyar aur nafrat ko
Jhule me dale chalti gayi,
Chubhne laga kuch...
Aur bhari v tha jhola...
Chala nahi gaya aur...
Rasta bhi upar chadhta tha,
Pahad uthna tha..
Aur jhola uthae chala nahi ja raha tha
Ek kadam v aur
Tabhi ruk gai aur jhola kholi
Bahut sara nafrat ke pathar the,
Usme kali syahi me likha galiyan,
Chhi chhi thu thu...
Aur bahut kam pyar ke phool mile,
Uspar osh bund par chak chak karta
Tere naam ke sath mere naam likha hua tha...

Taraju me alag alag dala,
Itna sara nafrat, itna sa pyar-
Wajan kia,
Pyar ko bhari paya!

Aur bhi hain...

Pani me barish ho to
Sab kahte hein,
Kya jaroorat hai
Par jab bund bund girta hai upar se,
Aur ek jal-parda lahrata hai
To samudra me romanch hota hai
Nad ko ullas chhata hai...
Jal-raasi abhibhut hota hai
Koti koti barsha-bund ke agamani se
Sochta hai-
Han, mere aur v hain
Aur nachte phulte gho gho karte
Libas badalta hai,
Nila, sabja se laalchia dikhte hue,
Kudte apna kinara todke kahan kahan pheilne lagta hai...
Upar -asman par pahad ke muhn ke pash
Badal dhuan dhuan
Jeise nadi ki ut-phullit deh ko dekh
Laaj se mukh dhak lena chahta ho...
Par badal badal hain,
Dhuan dhuan... Bhina bhina...
Kuchh der baad chhat jate hein......
Chalte jate hein-na jane kahan,
Jahan le jae unhe hawa...

A Cold Shake!

Just a name here ...
And a quick line there...
And i get as usual a cold-shake-
an indirect remark and a hurtful finger
blaming me for things i haven't done...
Relatives, friends, strangers, loved-ones,
they want to shake my hand and leave me
like i am an upturned stone
in their so-called smooth path...
Sitting in the gloom of my dark room,
i think of the years gone by...
the days crawled... The minutes staggered...
yes, the past, my past is me...
The stations i have crossed and the trains i have taken...
They made me realize-
This earth is not for me...nobody is for me...
Just a passing phase, till i close my eyes!
I wish, i don't forget the flowers,
the rain drops and the soft loving feet approaching me
some years back on a fine bright morning....

Mukesh Angadi
It is drizzling and the train lazily
changes its ways
through the forest
A stream gurgles beneath the cost iron bridge
The trees are aglow with joy
As rain drops plays on their eye lids
people in the spl compartments
are still asleep
Some that are awake await their Tea ,,,
served In bright yellow flask and plastic mugs
an young girl tosses a coin into the water
with a silent prayer
Someone crushes and platic mugs and
throws it down the stream ...!

This is not the beginning ,this is not the end…
I am in a journey of love …dear Devi
Sitting in a train compartment….
Trying to forget the past…
Thinking –this is not to be turned out to be-
Not to end like this…

Going on and in each junction I look for you…

debahuti
"trying to forget the past"wah what a line from you...
