It’s raining continuously…
It’s wet and damp everywhere…
Tuk tak raindrops falling incessantly
Life upon earth is used to it
The drenched, sodden soil sighs hard
yes, it's a familiar feeling.
No wonder the frog celebrates
and peeps from it’s green palace
Now that it has become a king…
Age-old Crows sitting upon the electric wire
had already started telling old folk-tales;
they want to forget the dripping sky.
Water birds pretend playing in the water
As if they don’t care the soggy feeling upon land
Baby Molu had gone sheltering
Under Mom’s grand huge figure…
The mother is facing the rain…
Mollu need not know any thing about it.
Whose cap is this, fallen in the poodle
A different story it speaks
Of someone who does not how to handle self
Someone who is careless about the rain…
Or may be had taken a rain bath
or a rain dance -and hence the fallen cap.
The dragonfly, the lonely bird and cheetahs
knows what to do when it rains
It’s a clammy jungle…and it sings the saddest songs…
But they will listen somehow…
And the lotus knew the time has come…
Now all have to shut down
No Sun, no colour…no blooming…
A l silent preparation for a long hibernation
starts in the lotus pond…
The white mouse is gifted with a white umbrella
Upon his b’day and he enjoys the beating of rain
upon it’s roof more and more…
What about Bolku, the puppy, homeless,
Lying down upon the cold wet floor
It does not know what to think
mother has left, gone somewhere without training it
how to cope with the rain…
where to find one umbrella
how to find a shade till the soaked furs get dry...
it's raining still...
people are sleeping, their doors closed-shut
and the umbrella shop is flashing
a 'we-are-closed' sign.
It’s wet and damp everywhere…
Tuk tak raindrops falling incessantly
Life upon earth is used to it
The drenched, sodden soil sighs hard
yes, it's a familiar feeling.
